PLAGUE MENACE.
CASE DIAGNOSED IN SYDNEY. {By <JaMe—Press Association—Copyright.) (AnstraliAi and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received December Ist, 10.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 1. The Health authorities announce that the illness from which the Sussex street suspect is suffering has been definitely diagnosed as plague, and his condition is serious. The patient resided at Glebe, but, in the authorities' opinion became infected at his business premises in Sussex street or the vicinity. Everything is being done to deal with tho infection which may still be present in Sussex street. (Received December 2nd, 1.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 1. Owing to the plague case, Sydney has been declared an infected * port. Strict precautions are being taken.
