•Last Saturday the Christchurch Sailing and Power Boat Club.held their second raoe for boats under 18 feet'. There was an ideal tide and wind, which made the race very interesting. A good Bt ait was effected, au getting well away togdther. AT>ove the tnpod the scratch boats l*ean to draw away, and held the lead until the Heathcote buoy was turned. Thence onward the heavy ebb tide helped the"""limit Boats, with a result that all finished within tfiree minutes of the scratch boat. Results:—Kaomi (9min), time 3hr 40min, 1; Scud (Bmin), J. Abernethy, Bhr 42min lOsec, 2; Breeae (7}min), F. Taylor, 3hr 43m in Msec, 8.
