OBITUARY.

The death occurred at Dannevirke last' week of Mr "W. R. Walker, who for many years was associated with the late firm of Sclanders and Co., of Nelson. Deceased, who was a son of the late Captain AValker, met with a motorcar accident seven or eight years ago, and never fully recovered from the effects of the mishap. While in Nelson the late Mr Walker was closely associated with various*forms of Eport, having been secretary, of the Rugby Union, -and the Cricket Association. He was also a keen-deer stalker.
