built body. This is the ideal ladies car—beautifully finished and trimmed with morocco leather, and completely equipped with all the latest fitments, including side screen and bumper. Also on this stand is the F.B. Touring Car. It is fitted vith a 4-cylinder engine, 5J stroke, x 3 11-16 bore, overhead valves and zenith carburetter. This engine is remarkable for its power and flexibility. Hackthorne road is climbed on top gear with plenty to spare. This car is completely . equipped and has a decidedly fine and powerful appearance. A Chevrolet ffour ninety chassis) is shown fitted with Godward's Patent Eclipse Economiser.' The general design and finish of this chassis stamps it as a fine example of modern motor engineering. Unfortunately the very latest Chevrolet cars are not on exhibition; they were, duo to arrive in time for the showi Included is the new 490 model. The touring car has a number of changes including new one-man top, the wind shield is lowered and gipsy curtains are. added. The front seat *is lowered 4£ inches, The front axle is provided with new type steering knuckle arms of heavier designs ,and a tapered shank attached to the steering knuckle is added. The brake design has been changed and- the emergency brake is now operated with a hand lever! These new cars are due here any time now, and those interested can have them demonstrated at the Christchurch Garage, Gloucester street. Stand 15 should be very interesting to prospective car buyers, because the Chevrolet is the recognised car of good service that is b"ght in petrol cost and light in upkeep. : FAMOUS BUICK CARS. CREATE CONSIDERABLE INTEREST ON STAND 2 AT OLYMPIA. When on© sees the smart and luxurious bodies of the new Buiok cars, tis not hard to, understand why they have made such rapid strides in public favour. 'The graceful stream line bodies are now made at the workshops of the Buick Sales, Ltd.. in Kilmore street. Here the work of body-buildiug is specialised in, and carried out under the same roof at the Buick Garage. •New ideas are constantly being brought forward, with the result the appearance of the modern car with its locally-built body, is far ahead of anything thought of a few years ago. Buick buyers have also the advantage of having bodies built to their own particular designs, and including all those little ideas which they have so long cherished in looking forward to the day when they would own their own cars! . . I On Stand 2. at Olympia, is a Buick, with body built in the Buick workshops, Christchuroh. This body is . built to the purchaser's plans, and includes all the niceties it~is possible to work in with up-to-date and luxurious comfort. The Buick Co. has now secured the New Zealand agency for the famous' Itala cars. The Itala is an exceptionally high-class Italian production built expressly to endure all the hardships and trials of differing conditions of work throughout all countries. By practical test the Itala has proved its great capabilities. These cars will have New Zealand bodies I built to suit purchasers' requirements. Visitors to the motor Show should not miss Stand 2. It shows what skill, and efficiency, applied by local bodies' builders, can accomplish, in the way of artistic coach work, luxury, and refinement!
