Tlio race for the championship and u prize presented by llio president (Mr G. Humphrey*) was completed on Saturday at Laka Victoria. The wind was strong from tjie noi Ih-oasfc, resulting in good sailing. The racing all through w«s of a firat-class order. Nine boat* competed under the supervision of Captain Eken»l«en. Results:— Seventh Heat—Mr f-chenkell'a Alert 3. Mr Ruxton's K.N. 2, Mr Firth's Oco 3, Mr Bowlkcr'a Ruth 4. Time, 31mia. Eighth Heat-Ruth 1, Alert 2, K.X. 3, Oeo 4. Time, 30min. Final—Alert, 47 points, ] ; Oeo. C 8 point?, 2; K.N., 28 points" 3; Emerald Isle, 19 points, 4.
