CHINA'S REPLY TO JAPAN. (By OaMc—Prets Association- -Copyright.) (Australian an<s N.Z. Association.) (Received November 6th, 5.5 p.m.) PEKING, November 5. China has sent Japan a Noto declaring that the latter's proposals regarding Shantung were altogether too remote from the hopes and expectations of the Chinese Government and people, who are therefore obliged to await an opportunity of asking Japan to reconsider the position.
