THE CROWN OF HUNGARY.
THE ALLIED POWERS' DEMAND. NATIONAL ASSEMBLY'S PROTEST. (By Cable—Pre» Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received November 4th*, 8.10 p.m.) BUDA PEST, November 3. The Crown Forfeiture Bill points out that the Trianon Treaty did not impose the forfeiture of the Crown which the Allies now demand, and adds that the National Assembly solemnly protests against this interference in the country's internal affairs, to which, only as a country fighting for its existence, it has been forced to consent. The Bill abrogates the Hapsburgs* rights of succession, and declares that the right of election of a sovereign reverts to the nation. It insists that the sovereignty be maintained, though election to it is postponed. THE INTERNMENT OF KARL. (Received November 4th, 8.10 p.m.) LISBON, November 4. Though a telegram from Funchal (Madeira) states that arrangements have been made to intern Karl and the exEmpress Zita there, the Government has not yet consented to their internment in Portuguese territory.
