Harold Jones pleaded guilty to the murder of the girl Little at Abertillory. In his confession to the chaplain he described how the murder was perpetrated from a desire to kill. He also confessed that he killed the girl Brunell. Jones was sentenced to detention during his Majesty's pleasure. fHarold Jones, aged 15 years, was arrested at Abertillory, Monmouthshire, in July last, and charged with the murder ot Florence Little, aged 11 years, whose Body, with the throat cut, was found hidden in an attic in Jones's home, after several thousand people, including Jones and ins father, had fruitlessly searched all night for the missing gill in the neighbouring fields, Jones was previously acquitted at the Monmouthshire Assizes by a jury, including two women, on a charge of murdering Freda Brunell, aged nine years, who disappeared after going on an errand to a shop in Abertillery, where Jones was employed. A witness testified to hearing scream,4 in a shed adjoining the shop. Bunnell's strangled body was found on February 6th, after several days' search by neighbours.]
