ADMINISTRATION OF SAMOA.

AN OFFICIAL'S VIEW. (By . O»Me— Prejß Awociatioe—Copyright.) (Australian and H.Z. Cabl* Association.) SYDNEY, October 14. Tho '"Sydney Morning Herald" pubr iishes an interview with Mr H. 0. Tennent, Financial Secretary and a member oi tho Samoan Legislative Council, who is visiting Sydney, in which he favours co-operation among the Pacific Idsnds, and, as n matter for secondary consideration, the establishment of a Pacific League to preserve peace. He does not think the suggested Pacific Confederation is at present advisable, but it may come later, when preliminary matters have been settled. Mr Tennent strongly supported the work of the present administration, and declared that, wheij the depression temporarily affecting Samoa had passed away, New Zealand's policy would be seen to be amply justified.
