OBITUARY.

Mr Arthur Kennedy Blundeli', whose death took place at Wanganui was well known in other parts of tho Dominion. He was born at Bath, England, and was the eighth member of the family of the late Captain Hornablow Blundeli, of the 11th Light Dragoons, which .were stationed in India. The members of the family later went to England to live, and eventually came to New Zealand, when the late Mr Blundeli was a lad. They settled in Nelson, where they were well known. In his early life Mr Blundeli managed several slieep runs iii ftjarlborough, and, later, joined the Government service. He resigned, and rejoined a'few years after as fields supervisor. He was stationed in Palmerston North, and then in Wanganui for 12 years, Wellington for two years, and Dunedin for four years. He retired from the service eight, years ago at Dunedin, and •went to Wanganui to make his home. In February last, be was attacked by, an illness, from which he never recovered. Ho leaves a. widow and daughter. Jtr A. J* JJishop, vrlio died in Christchurcli recently after a long illness, was an old Wellington resident, and cam© to C3iristchurC.fi in 1919. He was a cabinetmaker, and. till he left Wellington had a business in Taranaki street. Mr Bishop, when a young man, took a great interest in rowing, and was at one time ono of tho "stalwarts", of the Wellington Rowing Club. _ Having joined the Grange Lodge, No. 16, Ulster True Blue, bo scon became a very active and hard-working member. When Berthampore Lodge, No. <iS, opened, Bro. Bishop became ono of the foundation membevs, and subsequently affiliated with No. GS, of which he ultimately became worshipful master. For two years ho was district grand secretary in Wellington. At Christchurch lie again, became active, and up to a few months ago was district secretary of Christciliurch district.
