Moderate opinion welcomes Count Lerchenfeld's election. to the Premiership of Baviria by the People's Party, the. Peasants' League and the Democrats who hold 90 out of 158 seats in the Diet, as it is calculated to promote a settlement between Berlin and Munich. Kahr set Bavaria by the ears through his obedience, to the reactiontry, extremists and so lost the People's Party's -support.
