IRISH PEACE OFFER.
CONDITIONS OF CONFERENCE,
NO RECOGNITION OF INDEPENDENCE (By CaM»—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and K.&. Cable Association,) (Received September 23rd, 7.25 p.m.) LONDON, September 23. The "Daily Telegraph" says Mr Lloyd George has been practically restored to normal health. A reply to Mr do Valora has now been drafted, after Mr Lloyd George had consulted all his colleagues. It therefore represents the considered judgment of Cabinet. No Cabinet sittings are expected until the first week of October. The Gairloeh correspondent of the "Daily Express" Bays he understands Mr Lloyd George's reply to Mr do Vnlera states in unmistakeable language that unless the claim to Irish sovereignty is definitely abandoned, there cannot be a conference. A draft of the reply is being sont to all members of the Cabinet. Mr Lloyd Georgo expects their comments on Monday, when his reply will be sent to Dublin. Mr Lloyd George's draft is in no sense an ultimatum, but 'should prevent a futile correspondence.
