. —i—♦-■ ■ RAKAIA OLTJB. Ait the. .weekly, shoot of the Bakaia Miniature Rifle Club there were twenty-six entries for the three competitions held. A five-a-side teams match v/ne fired/for five - trophies presented by Mr A.-A. Oliver, the winning team eeeuring its victory by only one point.' The scores were as follows: —C. McKegnoy 69, W. E. Judkins 68, Albert Mead 67, W. J. Lee 64, H'. Crornie 64, total* 332; A. P. Kermett 69, G. Cromie 68, L., Oakley 68, A. S. Henderson 65, A. A. Oliver 61. A remarkable feature of the match was that in, each ' case - the men. who did the picking put on the lowest scores, while the men they chose last topped the scores. • A competition for a trophy presented by the president, Mr A. S. Henderson, was won by H. Steers, handicap: 3, with a total eeoro !of 70. W. ,S. Naismith, handicap 6, was ruomer-np. with * score of 69. In the junior division there.: were seven entries, V. Boag, scratch,- being the winner with a score of 67, and 8.. A. Oakley, was second with a total score of 66. ~ Great interest was taken in the shooting off of the tie the Magson trophy between Albert Mead and A. ;F. Kennett. After shooting off' twice, Albert Mead proved the winner by a narrow margin. , A. P. Kennett is now well in the lead for 'the -prize presented by Mr A. C. Mead. The Club Hotty Button for the week was won by L. Oakley, with a score of 70
