OXTOED. The monthly meeting of the Oxford County: Council was, held en Tuesday. Present— Cra. R. sP. Henderson (chairman), H. F. .Luers, J. McGrath, T. Powell; A. Baxter, E. W. Meyer, and D. Hawke. The chairman moved that a letter of condolence Tjb sent to the widow and family of lb© late Mr Eichard Evans. The motion , was 'carried in silence, couneUlow standing. The monthly report, which was adopted, etateci tliat Summerhill road, .Ashley Gorge road, and Burnt Hill road hajd been patched, tl'iity chains of Domain road shinylcd and tho various cuttings cleaned out. The timber report stated that 69,500 feet of' timber had been cut and 27,009 sold. I The rain report for the months was: — Meter* Gj'ejr Br6s. r .B2in; Mr T. J; Frame, I.Win; and Mr H. A. Prichard, 1.41 in. *lt. was decided to eow an eighth of an iiUMoiifvJnus insignia.- - t Mr E. : Dench's offer of 10s per ton- for flax reserve was t accepted. f Owing to the .'tendars being too high it.: [-was decided to call fresh tenders for tho . erection of, Council stables.' The tenders- for ■grubbing the gorse on the wain' Eyr* water* races were considered .too high, «nd it was decided, to carry out the work by day labour. * ... Mr T. Mehrtens was granted permission to plough the'roadside adjoining his property.
