AUGUST MEETING. SECOND DAY. i The Now Zealand Metropolitan 1 lotting Club's August Meeting will be continued to-day. Excellent acceptances have boon received, and there should be somo interesting racing. The principal event, the King George Handicap, has drnrni a. field of ten, including Emilius. Whispering Willie, and General Link, who finished in a place in the August Handicap on t!7o opening day, also Author Dillon ,wd Willie Lincoln. Th;> drying wind of yesterday has greatly improved the track, but even so', times registered throughout the day are not likely to be fast.
