THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

His Excellency the Governor-General and I#dy Jellicbo attended the Canterbury Jockey Club's meeting at Eiccarton yesterday.. This morning, at.lo o'clock, his Excellency will hold an investiture in the City Council Chamber, and will open the new club rooms of the Returned Soldiers' Association at 11.16 o'clock.

In the evening, his Excellency will visit the Y.M.C.A., and later will attend the Assembly ball. At the Y.M.C.A., Lord Jellicoe will be received in the reception hall, and will afterwards be conducted through the various departments of Association activities. In addition to various clubs in session, there will be a big rally of boys, a promenade concert, and a members' supper.
