The oil wharf at Penarth Docks (Wn.les) was destroyed by fire An 8000-ton tanker lying alongside the wharf and two paraffin petrol reservoirs valued at £2.000,000 narrowly escaped destruction. The damage is estimated at £IOO,OOO.
