SURPLUS OF WOMEN.
BRITAIN'S PROBLEM. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (United Service.) (Received July 25th, 10.40 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. The census has disclosed that there are 2.000,000 surplus women in Bribain. Sociologists, prominent public workers, land Church dignitaries are nil grappling with the problem involved. Professor Patrick Geddes considers that unless the situation is'trickled in time the nation will be faced with social debasement worst* by far than any previous social disaster. Miss Barker," director of the Women's Training and Employment Committee, •suggests the training df women for a full and independent life as the only remedy.
