Vagg, at present caretaker of the cricket ground in iiu,{jiey Park. It was' decided . that the gates he opened at.ten o'clock*on Saturday morning, on the occasion of the- Springboks' match. The Canterbury Rugby Football League wrote applying .for the-use of the Park on Saturday, August 37th, for a match between Canterbury and Auckland. \ The letter wbs referred to the Bugby"Dnion for consideration. » . The chairman, in reply to a question, said the Wew Zealand Rugby Union had agreed to pay the Board 20 per cent, of the proceeds of next Saturday's match for the use: of the P'aik. . The St. Patrick's Athletic Sports Association wrote stating that the Association had decided to support the action of the Canterbury' Centre of the. On the motion of „Mr Wilding, seconded by Mr Orchard, it was- decided to set up a subcommittee to go into the question, and Messrs Dey, Reese, and Orchard were aw pointed members of the committee.
