Saturday, at the Shirley links, the first , round of >!he play off for the Barthwick Vase was completed,, and resulted: —Louis son (8) beat Bonnington (5), 3 up and 2 to play* 1 Macfarlane (4) halved with Trolove' (11); C. Wood (6) beat Morton (12), 2 -up and 1 to play; Sams (6) beat R. Morgan (8), 2 up and .1 to ploy. ® HAGLEY CLUB. On Saturday on the Hagley links a bogey handicap resulted in a tie in the senior grade between P. A. Lawrie (7) 3 down, T. W. Amise (11). 3 down, W. S. C. Harris (11) 8 dawn. The junior handicap was won by W. M. Angus (14) 2 clown. The runner up was R. D. On Saturday a handicap bogey competition was played ,on the B.mgiora links' for oleeks presented by Miss Fear, and W.' A. Banks. The winners were Mrs A. B. Fear and J.-M. Dawson. RICHMOND HILL CLUB. The qualifying round of the Rawnaley Cup Mixed Foursome competition was played on Saturday, under ideal conditions. There "was an excellent entry, 22 pairs taking part in the play.
