The City Fire Brigade received a false alarm at 11.16 p.m. on Saturday from the corner of Bealey avenue and Durham street. Later, at 1.8 a.m., the brigade was called out to 55 Trafalgar street, where an outbreak had occurred in a four-roomed unoccupied cottage, owned by Mr Kennedy, Smollett street, Sydenham.
