Dr, Christopherson, whose cure of bilharziosis has been given wide attention, announces that ankylostomiasis, known a;s hookworm, also hymenolepianana, which is largely responsible for a huge sickness rate, have Succumbed to medical research. Interesting prophylactic measures, which are being adopted, include the dissemination of knowledge .among the natives by means of the kinematograph, the institution of stationary hospitals in tho cities and mobile hospitals in the villages, and the destruction of snails, which are tho intermediate home of the bilharzia worm
