Sheep—There y/as a full yarding, numbering 8315 head of fair quality. Competition ives siack in consequence of tho labour trouble at the local freezing works. Export buyers' operations were of a very restricted: character, resulting in lower prices having to be accepted. Priuio wethers made 32s to 385,. medium 20s 6d to Sis, light and. .unfinished sorts 22a (kl and upwards, prime ewes 28s to 325. medium 2ts to 275, light and aged 17a 6d and upwards. Lambs —There was <v-yarding of 1721 head of fair quality. Competition was good, and freezing buyers were operating. Prices were about on a. par with last week's rates, ranging from 21s Gd to 35s per heed. .Fat. Cattle —There wa& a largo yarding of mixed quality, tho total number penned being 185 head. There was a'good demand at the commencement of tho talc, and prices wero somowliat firmer than last- week's rates. Prime bullocks made £l9 10s to £22 10a, medium £l6 to £lB, light and unfinished eorts £l3 10s and upwards, prime hcifeM £ls 15s to £l7 17s 6(1, medium £l3 to £l4 355, light, and aged £8 10a and upwards. Store Cattle—A. largo yarding wan offered of varied quality.' Owing to the continued dryness of the season, would-bo purchasors were somewhat afraid to operate, and in consequence, J ate values were not maintained. The sale was of a very dragging nature. Piitß—A full yarding of mixed eorts waa offered. Competition was very slack, and lato values wcro not maintained, a reduction of fully 15s pfr head having to be accoptcd in order to effect sales.
