Bowdon, in a. brief introductory speecfv expressod muci pleasure in having Mr Qjeorffa Witty, M.P., at the gathering. Mr Witty replied appropriately, and proceeded with the distribution of tho prizes, treating- .each reoinient to <m apt and cheerful remark. Mr Wittr was assisted by tlnen secretary, Miss Freebury, and Mr A. Johns. Eveiy child who had not won a, prise received, a oonsoliation gift.
