Japan is willing to outer into a triplice comprising Britain, America and Japan, but America refuses all alliances. . Japan, therefore, makes the British alliance, and an America rapprochement the guiding principles of her foreign policy. The Foreign Office stigmatises as false the newspaper assertion that Japan has been deceived during the past seven years, because she was relying on British support against America. WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE. (Received February 7th. 9.30 p.m.) TOKIO, February 7. A Bill has been introduced into the Diet aiming to nullify the law prohibiting women from joining political associations or attending political meetings. The measure has the support of members of all parties. The extension, of women's rigjhts in tho United States is believed to have considerably accelerated the Japanese 6uffrago movement. | ATROCITIES IN KOREA. ! (Received Februarv 7th. 10.45 p.m.) WASHINGTON, February 6. UJSe Korean Commission has issued a statement detailing tho atrocities committed by Japanese soldiers upon Korean residents at Chientoa during October and November, 1920. The report states that 3123 inhabitants were murdered, 238 arrested, 76 women assaulted, 2404 houses, 31 schools and ten churches burned, and 818,620 bushels of grain destroyed.
