JL Taylor says the standard golf ball lias failed in its object of chocking, tho orgy of lons driving. He suggests a standard of twenty-seven pennyweights. [The Rules Committee of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews last year decided upon a standard ball, which was to come info us© in May this year. The ball was' not to wfeigh more than 1.620z, and was to hawe q. diameter of less than 1.62 Previcroaly tho ball might be of any weight.]
