ANGLO-JAPANESE ALLIANCE.
AN AMERICAN VIEW, (By Cable—Press Association—Copyrig-Lt.) (Australian and; N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received February 6th, 11.5 p.m.) NEW YOlliv, February 5. The "New York • Evening Post's" Tokio correspondent states that the Japanese Foreign Office denies that Japan is seeking to lighten her obligations towards Britain in the proposed revision, of the Anglo-Japanese alliance. The correspondent states that -wellinformed circles express the view that but for the United States stand against any alliances-, Japan would from the 'beginning have sought to make the Anglo-Japanese allianco a triple alliance by the inclusion, of the United States. It is stated that the Anglo-Japanese alliance and a United States-Japanese rapproachment constitute the . guiding principle of Japan's foreign policy.
