SIR WILLIAM FRASER HONOURED.
—: (PJtEBS ASSOCIATION XELEGBAM.) DUNEDIN, February 3. Recognition of the long period of service rendered by Sir William Fraser as member for Wakatipu was made at Cromwell last evening by his former constituents of all political shades in the Otago Central, >TJpper Clutha, and Oromwell districts. The function took the form of a banquet, at which Kir William was presented with an elaborate illuminated address in album form, detailing his services as member' extending over twenty-six years, referring to his elevation to Ministerial rank, and the straightforward, honourable, and conscientious manner in which he had controlled the departments under his charge. Sir William Fraser returned thanks in an appreciative reminiscent speech, during which he sounded a note of warning for economy and increased production. ,
