Mr and Mrs L. Allen (Wellington) are sta3'ing at the Clarendon. Mr and Mrs G. A. Warren (Portland) are staying at the United Service.
Mrs Eric Harper and her family have returned from Timaru, where they spent a holiday. Mr a.nd Mrs G. S. Leeden (Napier) are visiting Christchurch.
Miss Mary Hardy (Napier) is the guest of Mrs L. Comerford (Leinster road). Dr. Ada Paterson and Miss J. Paterson (Dunedin) are staying at the Clarendon.
Miss Temple has returned to Timaru, after a holiday spent in Christchurch.
Mr and Mrs C. 0. Belden (United States) and Mrs Sydney W. Ford (Hokitika) are*-staying at the Clarendon.
Mr and Mrs Theo. T. Meyer (Honolulu) are staying at the ltoyal. Mrs E. F. Coe haa returned to Sumner after spending a holiday in the North Island.
Much regret is felt among those who knew her at the death, at tho early ago of twenty-one years, of Mrs Ernest Ealam.. The late Mrs Ealam, who was the daughter of Mr Kingston, of Christchurch, lost her only child in 1919, while her husband died during the influenza epidemic in the same year. The funeral takes place at Linwood Cemetery to-day. Amongst floral offerings sent are a wreath from the management, and another from, her fellowworkers at the "Rendezvous."
Mrs S. Clark and the Misses Key and Luisetti returned to Christohurch on Sunday, after a -visit to Auckland and Rotor ua..
On Saturday evening Mr J. Cocks' Concert Party provided the patients at the Military Sanatorium with a very enjoyable evening's entertainment. Items were contributed by Misses T. Hanna and M. Wilson, and Messrs J. Cocks, F, Bowen, R. Turner, and Mr A. Missi Bonnie Youiig acted) l as accompanist.
