ISLAND OF YAP.

Cable Association) (Received January 28th. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 28. _ The United States has raised the quesriion as to whether Yap Island, through which the New Guinea-Stmngnai cable and San Fr ansiscci-Celebes cable pass, has been handed over to Japan as mandatory territory. Japan claims it I has, bat the United States asks that Yap J shall be internationalised.
