The committee to choose the Canterbury representatives for the Jtelson Shield competition, to be held at dunedin next month, has made, the following selection, from which the team will be finally picked by the instructor: —P. "L. Collins, C. A. Cooper, and C. -b\ Croshie (New Brighton Club), 1). ~C. Davidson and, 0. Turpin (Taylor's Mistake), J. L. Hall and R. Gill (North Beach), and F. Truscott (Sumner). The committee still reserve the right to alter the .selection if deemed necessary. Arrangements" have* been made for reel drill at Nfew Brighton to-mor-row, at 10.80 ajn.
