SACRED CONCERT IN HOSPITAL GARDENS.

* • To-morrow afternoon, at 3 a 'clocks the Royal Musical §society will repeat Handel's immortal oratorio "Tho Messiah," -which was given twico this week in tho' Choral Halt to enthusiastic audiences. ' The concert is being given for the benefit of destitute hospital patients. There will be a gift table on the lawn in charge of the Mayoress (Mrs Thacker), tho Matron {Miss Muir), and ladies of the Musical. Society and Destitute Patients' Cbmmitteo, and gifts of -toys, etc., for tho children in the hospital and orphanages will bo ■ gratefully received. A tent in tho Cathedral grounds has been erected for the receipt .of gifts of toys, sweets, fruit, and cash. Those desirous of giving cheques to this highly deserving fund may send them to Mr H. T. Whit, tintrham, accountant, Hereford street, who is treasurer of tho fund.
