* N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS. (PRESS ASSOCIATION: TEIEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, December 18. The draw for the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Championships took place this evening. The entries are excellent, including the best New Zealand players. The American and Australian Davis Cup players have entered freely for tlo championships, and several of them have partners" in the Combined Doubles. CLUB. A Yankee tournament waa played on the Lin wood courts yesterday afternoon, ami a large number of dub members took part therein. Tea was provided by thus lady members, and the afternoon proved most enjoyable. The lending scores preceding the semi-finals were:—Gibson 120, Turner 120, Mahan 113, and Ward 113, Mrs Clark 108. Miss Wright 106, Miss Butters 103, ond Mi«s Wagner 99. Tho eemi-final resulted:— Mahan and Miss Butters* 30 beat Ward and Miss Wright 19; Turner nnd Miss Wagner 80 beat Gibson «.r.d Mrs Clark 28. The final vraa watched with considerable interest, and was won by Misa Butters nnd Mahan, who beat Misa Wagner and Turner 30-17. KAIAPOI v. OXFORD.
