A Bill has been introduced into tho House of Representatives imposing a duty of 15 cents per bushel on wheat, 10 cents per bushel on corn, 150 cents on shoop cno year old. 75 ccnts on sheep less than one year old, 32 cents per lb. on unwashed wool. 24 cents per lb. on washed wool. 36 cents per lb. on scoured wool, and 12 cents per lb. on all manufactured wool, in addition to tho duty already existing. Amending regulations under the Finance Act, 15)L6, published in tho "Gazette" to-night extend il>e limit of tho bank note issue of bonKs by adding the total amount of all com bullion and public securities held by each bank (including the amount of "all war loan advances as defined in tho Act) tbe amount of all wool advances mado by t- ; a bank and from time to time outstanding. The term "wool advances" means such advances on wool as tho bank may mako on senarnto account.
