It is announced that the World Coinmunicntions Conference, pending the final disposal of the ex-German cablos, adopted a modus vivendi. under which the cables will bo operated for the finan-1 cial accounts of the five Powers (Great j Britain, tbo United States, France, Italy, and Japan) until February loth, 1921. Tho conference will continue its sessions, but if there is no settlement bv then another modus vivendi will be adopted in March.
