The Ministry would submit do- 1 finite, final proposals to the trade unions on Monday. . 1 Ten thousand Australian ex-scrvico men and their dependants m England are receiving £30,030 yearly (• wocklj)., Tho problem of unemployment is growing increasingly difficult. I here arc 210,189 ex-service men out of work, and a total of men, women, and boys of over half a million. Thoexcutive of tho Labour Party lias docided that tho present scandal of starving innocent people cannot bo allowed to continue. A person for whom no work is available is entitled to a maintenance grant of at least 40s weekly for men and 23s for women, with an additional allowance for dependants. Unt'l bettor provision for unemployment is made, a scliemo should be directly provided by Government. •
