Atmospheric pressure has ' decreased eteadily in tho North, and moderate to etrong 'north-east winds have prevailed northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and eouth-easterlies elsewhere. Cloudy and bazy conditions have been eotpcxienc<id in moat parts, and rain has fallen in tho northern portion of the North. Island. Present indications are for hi?h northeast to south-west wfnd3, and cloudy, unsettled -weather, with rain generally. H<«aTy rain, with rivers rising, may bp expected on the northern nnd Eaat Coast districts of the North Island. The barometer should • ta-U further everywhere.
