« AKABOA KEOATTA. The Afcaroa Regatta will bo held far the second time since the close of the war today. Entries have been received from all the Christcburch club*, -from Cure, Kaiapoi. as troll as from the local dub.. In several events there is «ra entry of ebc or eoven crews, and as reports etate that training has been carried on consistently for several weeks past, there is every prospect of soma well contested races. Xhe" Regatta Executive* hae made every provision fox the day's sport, except that it hae not been able to induce the Union Steam Ship Company to run an excursion steamer from Lyttelton, as in the poet.
