They reveal that he foresaw tlie world war and Germany's downfall tlnough. the ex-Kaisers dictatorial tempeiament. He relates his vain efforts to cope witH the Imperial megiomania, and writes:—''l see serious danger ahead for Germany and the whole of Europe. The later the catastrophe, the more terrible it wilf be.' : The correspondent of "The Times'' sends from Berlin a piquant picture of the ex-Kaiser, gathered from his chaplain, who has just arrived from Doom. He depicts the Imperial runaway in a religious frame of mind, meekly "recognising God's hand in his present sufferings, and piously praying for the forgiveness of his enemies, especially wicked England.
