The winds have been vanable, with (motherly breezes predominating, and -atmospheric pressure haa been unsteady. Pressnt indications are for strong and variable winds, with northerlies prevaiiin», ar.d veering to easterlies, northwards of° New Plymouth and Napier, and southwesterlies to south-eaa terliee ruling elsewhere. Dull, misty weather may be expected, with rain following generally. The barometer has a falling tendency, but will prob- , ably be rising in the South.
