The rain that fell during Friday night practically put ft stop to fast work on Saturday, and the work accomplished on tho local track 3 was of little importance. A. Hendricksen paid a visit to New Brighton yesterdav, and drove Willie Lincoln in his v.-ork. The eon of Lord Elmo and Mary Lincoln dashed over a couple of halves, and finished up his task in ft most convincing manner. He will be driven by Hendricksen in tho Cup. ... General Link, who has com<i into favour d-uriit" the past few days' for the Zealand Trotting Cup, was responsible for a brill'ant mile on the New Brighton track yesterday, and, judging by his effort, there is little doubt he will raoo prominently at Addington to-morrow. Hal Junior and John Dillon will not be starters in the New Zealand Trotting' Cup, whilo Dean Dillon and Moneymaker may also be found missing to-morrow ip the. big November Handicap. - Schnapps is rmiss, and -unlikely to tuliii his engagements at Addington this week. The Reefton owner-trainer, V. Alborr, has decided not to raco any of his team at the cominz meeting. * _ _, Nominations for the Otahuhu T.C. 8 Spring Meeting close on Friday. The monthly meeting of tho Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association will be held on "Wednesday, at 7.30 p.m.
