Vice-Admiral Kerr, in a letter, de- ' fends Lord Jellicoe's" tactics at the Battle of Jutland. He points out that the Fleet, in line of battle, extended lor seven miles, of which distance half; would be ships and half water. Through i Lord Jellicoe's movement, the target became only 300 yards, and all the rest was water. The manoeuvre resulted in 40 torpedoes missing the vessels.
