t — RANGIORA. The monthly meeting l of th® Rangioraj County Council was hold yesterday. Present. —Mr F. Horroll (chairman) and Councillors M. H. Stokes,- H. Tallott, H. Garrett, W. Stalker, and A. Molntoeli. Mr 1). Jones, M.P., wrote stating that he had been successful in getting the grant for the bridgo at Perrin's Ford increased to £1600. It was resolved to draw the attention of the Waimakariri Water Supply Board to the blocking of'storm water at tho Ashley atreet Ford and Mount Thomas road. Correspondence was received from the Commissioner of Crown Lands : regarding the disposal of thirds and v fourths in the Cust Biding. It was resolved that tho clerk mtko application for the earn®. , It was decided to recommend to the incoming Council to form a footpath and channel in front, of tho dwellings on the West belt at Boll's Station. The chairman stated that this being the last meeting of the present Council, he wished to thank tho members for their hearty support during his term of office, and he trusted they would all be returned to office again. Councillor W. Stalker intimated that lie Vas not seeking re-election. It v/as resolved to ask tho Eja-e Council to meet the Council on the boundary road, with a view to selecting a gravel pit, on the north side of tho road in place of the south : side.
