QUEENSLAND ELECTIONS
LABOUR MAJORITY REDUCED.
(By Catile—Press Association—CoppigM.) (Australian and X.Z. Cable Association.) BRISBANE, October 11. Progress returns reduce the Government's majority from 20 to eight. The seats of a couple of the Ministers are doubtful at present, but the figures are incomplete. The new Country Party gained three seats in the Wide Bay- district.
On the latest figures, Labour appears likely to secure 40 seats, tho Country Party 21, and., the Nationalists 12, but postal and absentee votes still to be counted are capable of altering some of the doubtful seats.
(Roceived October 11th, 11 p.m.) BRISBANE, October 11. There is no alteration in the election figures Mr Theodore states he hopes that 35 Labour members will be returned.
