The bird resembles a small lizard, and lives in the bush along~the foreshore. Dr. Chalmers Mitchell, of London, states that news of the discovery had not yefi been communicated to the scientific world. Professor Beebe, he said, is a verv well-known zoologist, and a further account of the new bird will bo awaited with interest.
