INDIAN RAILWAY WRECK.
* DISCONTENTED COOLIES SUSPECTED. (By Cable—Prees Association— Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association!./ (Received October 11th, 1.20 a.m.) DELHI, October 9. It is suspected that the MadrasBangalore mail train,' which was wrecked near Arkonam, owing to the mysterious removal of a. rail, was wrecked by discontented coolies, who had previously b,een dismissed. Five carriages wore telescoped, t No Europeans were killed, but at least tliirteen Indians were killed, and many were wounded. European passengers rendered first aid with scarves and handkerchiefs. The disaster occurred at 11 o'clock at night. Fires were lit alongside the wreckage to help tho rescuers.
