SPF.INGSTOK - . Tho quarterly meeting of tho SpAngston Methodist Circuit was held in the Springston Church. The Rev. J. Harris presided, but the attendance of officials was rather email. The membership was reported to bo the earn© as last quarter. The reports of the Sunday School Superintendents were all very encouraging. Tho balance-sheet, although riot complete, will probably ehow a small credit. Mr Jas. Marshall, Foreign Mission. secretary, read the balance-sheet for tho effort, which ehowed receipts to be £4G, an increase of about 30 per cant, on last year's total. The chairman reported that tho Home Mission services would be held on Sunday next and the following , week, and that the Bev. T-. Tuhi, a. Maori minister from Auckland, would bo at Springeton on Sunday evening to conduct tho ecxvice. Messrs E. "Wall and S. Kc-ast were appointed auditors. Messrs "W. Motmco and J. Cross vera appointed representativee to iho District Synod, and Messrs S. Keast and Jas. Marshall as substitutes. Willi reference to a supply for next year, tho Rev. J. Dennis, of the St. AJbans Circuit, has accepted an invitation, subject to Conference approving it.
