MEETING OF EXECUTIVE

It was reporter! that, ten new members and one nursing liad been admitted to membership ftitic*- the previous meeting. Brig.-General Richardson wrote stating that no further action would be taken against member* wearing military _ overcoats, providing that they oouki certify that the coats were their ow7t property. It was decided io co-oporatc with the Canterbury Progress League in ur_irjg the- Prime Minister to presa on the work ox railway improvements between Lyttelton and Ghriatchurcb. It wne resolved tint representations should be made to the. Defence Impartment -with a view to securing free passes on the trams for Y.A.D. -workers at tho Cashmere military sanatorium and for wives of blind eoldiers. It was reported that branches of ihe Association had been formed in Samoa, and at Little Paver. Mr R> B. Holdsworth, of He&thcoto Valley, ■wrote, offering 21 voium.es of "The TimeaT history of the war to tho library of the new r-hib rooms. The offeT was . accepted, and the donor thanked for his generous gfit. Various cases of soldiers' individual grievances were dealt with in committee.
