CANTERBURY HEAD CENTRE. The annual meeting of iho, Owiterfcrorj' Head Centre of tho Royal X/ifc-Suving Society was hold last night, Mr H. Holland presiding over a largo attendance. In. moving the adoption of the ten til annual report and baiance-sboai (which havG already been published) tho chaiftian es-■p-resskxl a hope that during tho coming year even greater interest wouM ho gliowti m tho Society's work. The financial position must bo sratifyins -to mem bar 3Mr K. B&sa&tt, who seconded the motion, said that «f the year's expenditure £25 was epont on medals and ■ engraving almost entirely for school competitions. He was pleased lo see eo many representatives from the schools present, because if ibey tad the support of the schools the eucoeeo of tho Society was assured.

The following' enib-committee -was set wp to draft regnlatioris in regard to the "Wigram Shield: —Messrs Billaon, "Watkins, Bre-wer, Mitchdl, Bawsott, and Barrett. It was decided that the school competitions be held not Inter than April Ist each year, competitors bo under 14 years of ago on March. Ist.
