The Canopus and Kini, both from Westport, were expected last night, while the Kahika, from Greymouth, /•'is due bore tomorrow, ond the following day tho Kittawais expected from,Westport. The Breeze, from Dunedin and Timaru, ia duo hero this morning, and is" expected to sail to-night for Picton and Wanganui. The Moeraki is to leave Sydney on Friday for Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due here the. following Wednesday. The Calm is duo here on Thursday "front the South, and will load here fox Wellington. The Baden Powell should comoout of dock to-morrow, and will load later in the week for Wellington. The Wanaka, which is fi> leave Auckland, to-morrow with cargo for South Island ports, will call at Gisborne en route. The Wootton and the Karu-could not complete their loading last night, and are both set down to sail to-day for Wellington. The Leitrim is to leave here this afternoon for Dunedin, where she will continue discharging and loading operations. The S.S. and A. eteamer Matatua was an early arrival at Lyttelton yesterday. She will continuo discharge of" her Home cargo here, and will land the balance at Port Chalmers. She is also loading mutton here and at Port Chalmers, Bluff, and Timaru fox Boston and New York. The Flora, which is due this morning from' Timaru, will load hero for Kelson and New Plymouth, and is to sail to-morrow. From New Plymouth she will go to Wellington to lay up for survey. Tho Essex, which arrived hero on Sunday morning to load mutton for New York, will ship 79,000 freight carcases here, in addition to ?00 casks of tallow and pelts. She will go to Wellington to complete, and will sail finally from that port on September 16th. SCHOONER IN DISTRESS. SYDNEY", September 6.
